We've been going to Stapleton Children's Dentistry for four years now, but this latest visit may have us change offices. I felt like we, as patients, were taken for granted. The staff seemed distracted by interoffice dynamics, one person kept mispronouncing my daughter's name despite me correcting her a few times, but worst of all was the attitude towards me. I had to bounce between two rooms while both of my kids got a cleaning, and when I went to check on one who was getting X-rays, I asked if she had any questions for me about X-rays. The hygienist rudely told me that she would answer the questions and that she had it covered. "Yeah, but you're not her dad." X-rays can make a kid nervous. You can't expect a 7-yo to be comfortable asking a stranger questions on something like that. Dr. Faiyez also added an extra service to her file that warrants an additional appointment without discussing it with me. Nothing major, but I was put in the situation of asking the receptionist why it was necessary. I think he was too busy bouncing between five different patients and it slipped his mind. Just not a great environment.
This is Dr. Faiyaz. I appreciate your feedback and am so sorry to hear about your poor experience. We've had some recent staffing changes and things have been a bit hectic. Your children's visit may have suffered as a result. I would love to speak with you personally to discuss your situation, and will try to use your feedback to improve the patient experience in our practice. Thanks again and all the best.
