The receptionist at the farmington office provided me with incorrect estimates of the cost of my surgery through my insurance. When I questioned the amount she was not at all helpful and just said this is the amount. She then pretty much just stared at me until I signed the paperwork she gave me. I had my insurance paperwork with me and she did not even bother to look at it or offer a reason for why the amount she was making me sign for was so much higher. I said all along I was going to base the decision on laughing gas vs. iv sedation on the cost and therefore it was disappointing to have staff not even know the correct insurance cost to give me. Later on I had Lila call me to let me know the correct estimate because she realized that the receptionist gave me all the incorrect information. If the receptionist cannot handle insurance quotes she should at least direct patients to Lila at insurance so we can make decisions based on accurate information.
I have been so disappointed in my eye care experiences, that I actually hate when the time for new glasses comes around.
But walking into Burke-McLloughlin was a pleasant experience.
