I want to start by saying that have been going to Studio 59 for years, and I really love the atmosphere and the ladies that work there! Starting at the front desk, they have always been super nice to me and have done a great job! My life is pretty hectic, so I love to go in get the full treatment and the place just feels like a spa!
When I first started going there, they scheduled me with Randy as my stylist and I've been consistently less than impressed. I kept going there because I love everyone else there! (Lauren always does a fantastic job on my color and I highly recommend her! And Terri who does my glaze and manicure is just amazing!)
Well, today I had all I could take. After a fabulous experience, I sit down to get my haircut, I tell Randy what I want, and he proceeds to systematically butcher my hair. I've spent the past year or so growing my hair out, and he pretty much undid months worth of work in about an hour. I questioned him several times along the way and he insisted that it would look like how I wanted. In the end, he asked if I liked it and I told him that I really didn't and his response was to assure me that it looked exactly like the picture I showed him, (it does not), and that it would 'grow on me'. I was then shown to the checkout with no other assurances or apologies or refunds. This is not a cheap salon, but I've never cared to pay because I felt the service was worth it. Today, I feel sick every time I look in the mirror and think about how long it's going to take me to grow my hair back out. This cut has aged me about 30 years, and considering I was getting this as my 'beach look', that is not a good thing!! Extremely disappointed in my experience today, and though I have recommended them to numerous friends in the past, I will think twice before doing so in the future. I'll be going back simply because I love everyone there, but Randy will not be touching my hair.
