My engine had a significant overheat event (Radiator failure at 138k miles) and it took too long to get the vehicle safely off the road. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership which I had used for many years. After a cursory review they quoted me a $9,000 repair that included an engine replacement, well more than the total bluebook value of the vehicle.
I gave Sun Devil a call described the circumstance. I asked if they could handle such a significant repair if required, and could they pick up the vehicle and give me a second opinion. The service manager gave me background on his teams experience and capability. After significant wrangling with the dealership Sun Devil towed my car to their shop and evaluated the repair needs. Within 4 hours they assessed the extent of the damage and were able to breakdown a cost of $3,400 for the extensive repair (pulling engine, machining heads, etc). Every time I checked-in they provided clear updates, including a review in the shop of the damage and the work progress. Seven days of labor later, they completed the work and handed over my vehicle running like new.
I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism, quality, and service result.
