I’ve been going to this location since it first opened for business and I’ve noticed over the last few visits that the quality of service is becoming less and less desirable. For what should be an easy and fast oil change, with no tire rotation, it unnecessarily turned into a 45 minute job. Here’s what I mean - the young technician raises my car on the car lift, walks away for about 10 minutes to chat with coworkers, then returns to drain the engine oil and then walks away again for about 8 minutes to again chat with coworkers. It took nearly 20 minutes just to drain the engine oil....common, really! He then proceeds to REALLY take his time through the rest of the oil change process. And here’s the kicker to my recent experience - once completed with the simple oil change, the same technician pulls my car out of the service bay, parks and leaves my car running unattended out in front of a neighboring service bay for about 5 minutes just so he can further chat with a coworker in the parking lot around the corner of the building. He finally returns to my car, parks it in an empty parking spot and then finally turns in my key to the service desk to complete my oil change experience. The bays were 3/4 full with cars so this location wasn’t busy enough to justify this young technician needing to be away from my car for lengthy periods of time. This should have been quick and easy service to my car but it was turned into another unnecessarily long experience. If you want to make it seem like the customer is getting his/her money’s worth of service, extending the labor time isn’t the right way to go about it.
