I got my hair balayaged and cut with April. Although she was extremly kind and caring, I am extremely disappointed in the outcome of my hair. I provided a picture of what color I wanted for my balayage. I wanted my balayage to be deep browns and look as natural as possible. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be light brown, really brassy and some areas look yellow because it shows the color of the lightener and not the toner.
The haircut was very nice. I loved the layers she gave me and the length is pretty good. But when it came to blowdrying my hair she made me sit under this heater that rotatef. I was expecting her to use a blow dryer and a round brush to really dry it. For my mother that same day, Jill used a blow dryer and styled her hair so well. Unfortunately, April failed at this.
When I went home and saw my hair I hated it immediately. I spent two hours crying over my hair because my first balayage was a terrible experience and I felt as though I made a huge mistake.
What I think would have helped me is April hairdrying my hair using a blow dryer so I could see what the real color looked like. Because when the hair was wet in the salon it looked dark and deep brown. If she had blow dried it properly I could have seen my true color right then and there in the salon and we could have tried to fix it.
Now I am left with brassy hair, that I hate. I opted for Sydney Alberts because my previous visits have been a delight. I beleived that Sydney Alberts would be professional and I can trust them with no hesitation. Now I am reconsidering my decision and I definitely know that henceforth, Sydney Alberts would never be my salon of choice. I would request you to let the owner know and contact me personally. Because this kind of service is not acceptable and especially for the price and trust the client had given.
