My appointment with the Dr went very well. I was kind of disappointed with not knowing more options for my purchase of contacts, which I did not know I had any at that time. When I checked out, I paid my bill but never received a breakdown...so I have no idea what cost what. When i spend $375, I like to know what that money was spent on. When I asked the girl at the desk how much the contacts were, I was told $130 for a month's supply! I would never have agreed to that and would have loved to discuss other options with the Dr. When I came back to work, I spoke with a friend who bought contacts at the same place, and he paid only $100 for a 6 month supply. That sounds way better. I then called the office, and did not really get an answer. She mumbled something about my friend receiving a rebate (which the girls at the desk never mentioned to me). I tried to explain that he has a different brand, but she didn't really comprehend what I was saying. I then decided that I will wait to talk to the Dr next week when I go in for my follow up. Again, my experience with Dr went well, i am giving a low rating because I do not feel things were explained well at checking out, for not receiving a receipt, and for not having a better understanding of what my options are. $130/month is ridiculous for contacts.
