I was having a really good experience until I was shown the bill. Honestly, I felt ripped off. I went in for an annual check up that is covered 100% by insurance, but because I tried on contacts, I was out of pocket over $50 for a visit that shouldn't have cost me anything.
If you are using this place, know up front what is being done, what your insurance covers and what you're out of pocket. And beware the services they'll try to add that'll cost you unexpected out of pocket expenses. I've been coming here for years and this experience was a tough pill to swallow.
We apologize for this miscommunication at the time of your exam. Our office tries to inform all our patients of their insurance benefits before they get taken back to see the doctor. With your insurance plan they do offer a 15% discount on the contact lens fitting, which we did honor for you. And our office policy is to refund the fitting fee if the patient decide not to go with the contacts.
