I usually won't bother to post reviews one way or the other but this time I felt compelled to do so. I only wish I read a review like the one I'm about to give because it would have saved me years of anguish over BAD haircuts! I myself worked as a hairdresser for 35 years and always took great pride in the work that I did. Over the years I'm sorry to say there are many in my profession that simply don't or won't take the time to educate themselves or care enough about the quality of their work. Anyone looking for a GREAT haircut needs to see Patty the owner of Techniques Salon. I've been to some of the best N.Y salons and I can tell you honestly that Patty's ability and knowledge of hair and the way her salon operates is of the utmost highest standard I've found since I had my own business. The time, care, and quality of service she offers is one I've been searching for. I'm never quite sure how well or bad my haircut is until I get home and check it myself. I was jumping for joy when I discovered the cut was so perfect it took me 10 minutes to dry and style. My hair hasn't looked this great in years and as many women know, when your hair isn't right, nothing else you do will make you feel beautiful. I feel as if this salon is a "best kept secret that someone needs to SHOUT from the rooftops so others will know what I found. Let me also tell you that I've not been paid to write this review, nor do I know anyone personally from this salon. I hope anyone reading this will not only go but run there....you'll find just what I did and as a professional who knows this business first hand, I can honestly tell you it's one of the best haircuts I've had!!!!! I need to also add that my nervousness was heightened trying someone new yet again and Patty and her staff were so warm and friendly that my nerves were calmed quickly. I felt as if I was being taken care of and someone was finally listening to me and my needs. Patty also spoke to me in great detail about all of her services and products which I found to be very informative and when I go back wouldn't hesitate to purchase some of the products she used on my hair that I found to be perfect for my hair. I hope this review helps others who want to look their best.

I have been going to Tekniques for about 20 years. Walking in there is like being welcomed by my second family. They are an incredibly talented group of professionals who know how to make every client feel appreciated and special. No matter what you are looking for in a salon, Tekniques will have it.

Excellent! I have been a loyal, happy customer for well over 14 years! The new location is absolutely wonderful - a relaxing and inviting environment, extremely professional and knowledgeable team, savvy with multiple hair types and appropriate regimen and solutions, and I always walk out feeling and looking great. I love the special touches, boutique, and overall vibe - great music, TV, laughter and conversation, reading material or quiet time - whatever your ideal experience - it is respected at this salon. I travel from North Jersey and will follow Patti and team wherever she thrives! Top notch! Highly recommend.

Love, love, love each and every one of my visits to Tekniques Salon! I am always given the utmost in attention and treated like a personal friend! I always leave feeling like a queen! Not only does my hair look great but my spirits are lifted! Thanks for another great experience!

Always feels like a day out with your best girlfriends. Linda has been doing my color and cut for 9 years now, always fabulous! The new salon is inviting, has an atmosphere of warmth, comfort and professionalism without, ignoring pure FUN!

Great experience and very happy with the end result. Great location, friendly staff and was overall impressed. Jasmine is great with a good personality and has the techniques I was used to in my Manhattan salon I attended.

I scheduled this haircut at the last minute and had Jaime as a hairstylist. I was a little concerned because I never had Jaime cut my hair before. She did an awesome job! I love the cut. She gave me an inverted bob with stacking in the back. Thanks Jaime!!!

Wonderful! I have been a customer for 16 years. Linda is the Best! Love my haircut. She always makes sure the client is happy and smiling. Her dedication and kindness and her terrific personality make going there a pleasure. I highly recommend tekniques salon. All the staff are friendly & helpful. There new location is just Beautiful. I would give 6 stars if I could.
