I started at the Apothecary Spa last fall after 12 sessions with "medical massage clinic" for a painful, aging shoulder that didn't respond to cortisone injections. I was concerned that I wouldn't get the same level of massage care on my arthritic shoulder and a worsening lower back condition in a elegant spa atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised that I could get the same level of therapy in much pleasanter surroundings with a well trained, gifted staff along with the use of relaxing sauna and showers, lovely towels and robes.
I had a second massage with Christina yesterday. Again, she was amazing. She has a degree in kinestheology and has worked in physical therapy so she has a depth of knowledge on all kinds of muscular-skeletal issues and provides a healing platform in addition to recommending self-care exercises in between massages.
The front desk staff are top-notch, very accommodating and forgiving (like when there was my mix up in an appointment date). The staff keeps track of my preferences in skin products, massage therapists and appointment day/times as well as handling payments in a friendly and professional manner. I find that prices for the massage service are comparable to other practitioners in the area.
No reason for me to go anywhere else!
