My lab was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia after it dislocated. Dr. Wild referred us to a large surgical specialty practice for the necessary repair procedure. We have had that initial evaluation but surgery could not be done for three weeks. In the meantime, her hip dislocated a few times more but would move back into place within a few hours. However, this last time it didn't and she was in a lot of pain despite medication. With surgery still two weeks away and not wanting our dog in pain, Dr. Wild (and Dr. Karsch) made several phone calls and found another board certified surgical specialist who could evaluate our pet and do the surgery in less than a week. Drs. Wild and Karsch also came up with a medication option that is keeping our dog comfortable and mostly pain free for the interim. They have gone the extra mile to find a solution for our dog until the surgery!
All of this is above and beyond the wonderful care that Dr. Wild and Dr. Holt (who recently retired) have provided to all of our pets for almost 30 years! Excellent, compassionate and friendly care by the doctors and staff of The Colony Animal Clinic are the reasons we will continue to bring our pets here. We highly recommend!
