As I began to educate myself on what I needed to know to replace my home furnace, I grew more and more skeptical. The features, I could understand -- efficiency, one or two stages, variable or constant motors. But when I looked into brands, it became obvious that each website was promoting a specific brand that they rated above the brands that they do not carry.
I reached out to a manufacturer to ask for a recommendation of firms in my area. The recommended Comfort MD. Leigh took my call. When I told him and how I had narrowed down my list to a couple of brands, he patiently answered all of my questions and did not try to sell me anything.
I finally asked him if he installed the brand I selected. He said yes, and we set up an appointment for the next day. He provided me with a quotation and options that met my requirements. I had already taken four other quotes and was prepared to move ahead with another firm, but his quote was far more competitive, and I felt I could trust him. That was a Thursday, and he told me the system could be installed on Monday.
On Friday morning he called back to say that the manufacturer did not have the furnace we talked about in stock, but that he had the next better model available. My first thought was “uh oh, here comes the bait and switch."
He told me that the next model was more costly but that he was going to talk to the manufacturer about honoring the price of the original system. Later that day he called me with the good news.
The next shocker was that the installers showed up exactly when they said they would. They laid down drop cloths from my door through the kitchen and up the stairs to the room where my furnace is located. I left for work and they were there all day. I received a call that evening saying they could not complete the work that day due to a problem with the ductwork, but that I would have temporary heat until they returned. The next morning they finished and left my house in such a state of cleanliness that you would have no idea they were there.
Purchasing a furnace is stressful because there is so much the average consumer does not know. So for me, I needed to find someone that I felt I could trust. Comfort MD made this an enjoyable experience and my new furnace is not only working great but looks beautiful. I am a customer for life and will recommend your firm enthusiastically to anyone who has a similar need.
