I called to make an appointment to donate my hair. Explicitly asked the receptionist, Alex, if there was a charge for donating at their salon and if they participated in a program such as Locks for Love, the answer was free and they would give a form for my donation. My donated hair was put in a bag with no form to mail and I was charged full price for a haircut! Was very disappointed to be mislead when I was trying to donate my hair for a good cause!!!
The Future Wave Salon replied:
I am really sorry you were miss lead. I believe when Alex said the service was free, she was referring to the donation service. We have forms and do send the hair in to Locks for love if it is left for us to do, but the majority of the time the client likes to send it in for their own self satisfaction. If you left the hair at the salon I am sure it was sent in. Again I am really sorry that you thought the haircut would be free, that has never been a policy of ours. I also appreciate your comments so we can better educate our staff. Jodi Eckman, Salon owner/manager.
