It’s a shame how much we use to love this practice but it has gone downhill quickly! Unfortunately the Ortho dr we started with left the practice a few months ago. We had a great Ortho plan in place for my kiddo and when we finally got an appointment (a HUGE hassle in itself) the new Dr tried to convince me that the plan I knew of - the one we have been in for a year - was wrong. Then the way she presented what she wanted to do to my child’s teeth next upset my child to the point of tears. I asked her to not continue because he was visibly upset yet she seemed to have zero awareness that how she was speaking was making him more upset. She was laughing and smiling when speaking which came across as if she had zero compassion. I think she thought she was trying to be pleasant cause did say I’m not trying to laugh - but she certainly wasn’t stopping or taking a crying child seriously or showing him any compassion. She then left the room and never came back, not once to check to make sure her patient who is a child was ok. So disappointing. She needs to learn how to speak and work with children. We come to find out that what she was pushing on us was actually optional treatment. Presentation skills, awareness and kindness are needed and go along way. We have one last appointment to remove the braces and then we are moving on to another practice for the retainer stage. That’s how much we do not have trust in this doctor based off of one visit. First impressions are everything and this one was terrible. Hopefully she learns from it.
