I have been attending Pilates classes here for 6 weeks now, and as a beginner I felt very comfortable and supported by the professional instructors.

The studio is clean, quaint, and perfectly suited for someone like me that doesn’t like the feel of a big overwhelming gym.

The owner, Gracie, has such a lovely energy. She’s highly knowledgeable, professional, and warm. Her staff all have the same vibe, and they made me feel instantly comfortable.

Being that this is my first experience with Pilates I have nothing to compare it to, but I can say with certainty that this exactly what I wanted my experience to be. After 6 weeks, attending 3 classes a week, I’m already seeing results: flexibility, muscle tone, muscle control, mind/body connectedness, relaxation, more restful sleep at night, generally more balanced feeling both mentally and physically.

I would definitely recommend this studio. I love that Gracie is open about this being a “teaching studio”, and allowing new instructors to have the opportunity to practice their skills. Everyone needs to start somewhere, and she clearly embraces this concept. I have never had any issues with injury as a result of lack of supervision. All of the instructors I have had really do have a solid sense of anatomical structure and competence when it come to Pilates instruction. As a Registerd Nurse I definitely have a strong interest and concern for ensuring that instructors are maintaining a safe practice. This includes having a solid understanding for anatomy and physiology, physical therapy, body mechanics and movement, as well as understanding injury prevention.

Pilates can be expensive, and while the classes aren’t cheap, you get what you pay for, at least that’s my philosophy. I think of it as an investment in my physical and mental health, and I can’t think of a better investment in my time and money.

Small and warm studio with great instructors.. Small is a great thing for Pilates because you get individual attention with more opportunity for correction of form, leading to better results.

I love my Mon., Wed. and Fri. classes, and find that the variety of instructors are all very good. I like the chance to take classes with different instructors for a change in pace and approach. The Mind and Body app is great and makes scheduling much easier.

My only suggestion is that the reformers are thoroughly cleaned. Although the clients wipe them off after every session, the framework gets very dusty and grimy.
