This was by far the worst experience I've ever had in the real of health "care". I was referred by a friend (who I later found out never even visited the office) and didn't know what to expect. I was offered no introduction or orientation, just pushed along through what turned out to be a very expensive and uninsured process. I was given magic potions instead of proper medical treatment -- potions that were prescribed based on a hemolyzed lab sample. I read over my lab results with a fine tooth comb and discovered a warning from the lab that the sample used for the report was hemolyzed and a new sample should be analyzed if treatment is indicated. I came in to question the office on why they had sold me hundreds of dollars worth of products based on a bad sample and Dr. Prather -- whom I met for the first time when he came rushing into the room that day -- did not introduce himself or attempt to talk to me. He simply told me to "get out" of his office and instructed his staff to call the police on me. For questioning, in a private setting, whether I was receiving proper care. He was loud, mean, and exhibited the opposite composure and professionalism I would expect from a health care professional. He is a quack.
Good Afternoon Allison,
After reviewing your yelp review and this one I wanted to clarify a few items. When you came in to our practice you we?re seen by our Nurse Practitioner who recommended our blood-work which is quite extensive, because we are looking at the body as whole. We sent that out to one of the labs we use and they did mark that one of blood samples was hemolyzed. Hemolyzed blood can come from either cold or someone that is a hard blood-draw, but it is standard practice that if a blood test cannot be run the lab will not run it. All that being said after your request to re-draw the labs we were happy to re-draw it at no extra charge for your ease of mind. Both our Nurse Practitioner, Medical Doctor, and our DACBI came to the same diagnosis on both labs.
At the end of the day your health is our top priority. We deeply care about all of our patients health and well-being. We do recommend you seek a medical professional to get your levels balanced out. We hate that your experience with us has been such an unpleasant one and wish you only the best in your road to optimal health.
