I arrived approximately 10 minutes early for my appointment. Another patient arrived after me and was taken back for his cleaning just before I was. Then, after my hygienist finished and told the dentist I was ready, I had been waiting several minutes for the dentist to come, and then heard her go in to the other patient's room first before seeing me. I've been a patient of this office for over 25 years, and it was disappointing to me that priority wasn't given to patients in the order of their arrival or in the order they were available for consultation with the dentist.
As an aside, it is very convenient that the office now uses text and email reminders for appointments - but the volume of these reminders is simply too much.
Hi Andria, thank you for your feed back, and we are sorry to hear that your visit was anything less than perfect. Because each patient is scheduled with a specific hygienist or doctor sometimes patients are not taken back in their exact order of arrival, but we always strive to bring patients back at or before their appointment time.
As for the exams, the doctors are often in the middle of a procedure which is why it can unfortunately sometimes be a few minutes wait. The doctors always complete the exams based on which patient has been waiting the longest. If this is not what happened at your appointment, it was a rare miscommunication and will not happen again. We thank you for your continued loyalty to the practice and look forward to seeing you again soon.
