Dr. Ellis is amazing, however the new front desk staff is the reason I'll likely be looking for a new dentist.
I scheduled an appointment, confirmed my appointment via email, arrived early for my appointment only to be told that my appointment was cancelled because I did not confirm (which I did) and because there were walk ins that the dentist took care of instead. I was told that if the dentist took me, she wouldn't get home until 8pm.
I work during the day and specifically used time off to make it to this appointment, only for it to be cancelled. All of the proposed reschedule dates were during my regularly scheduled work hours. Had the front desk staff admitted that they overbooked my appointment time and offered some sympathy to my situation, I would be willing to use additional PTO to come in for a rescheduled appointment. However, I don't feel confident that this wouldn't happen again especially since the staff admitted no fault of their own. IMO during a visit two weeks ago, a young lady told me that I may have been over or under charged and that she would follow up with me. To date, I have not heard anything from them.
Its unfortunate that the front desk staff are causing a patient to stop seeing a dentist that she enjoys.
I would like to resolve this favorably. Please contact me if you are interested in the same.
