We have been patients for many years now and this was our worst experience. We have a cat, Sunny, who is very difficult and a dog, Max, who is the sweetest dog in the world. The last 2 times we have been there you guys have an alert on Max's chart that he is a problem. We have asked you to remove this. It causes you guys to treat him differently and he does not deserve that.
We were held in a room for a very long time and I think you guys thought you were calming Max down but he does not need it at all. You approached him aggressively for blood withdrawal and made the experience difficult for him.
I know there are things that happen in an office that might color the treatment a patient gets such as emergencies or just bad days....if this is the case it would be much appreciated if you would let me know. Dr. McColgan came highly recommended by our retiring Vet from the Decatur branch and up until today we have had great experiences with her, but today felt like the visit did not treat Max as the great dog that he is and we felt like the visit lacked focus on him as a patient. He had been in a couple of months ago for ear problems and his ears were not even looked at.
We would like to continue with you guys as we really like the people but Max's health and treatment is our highest priority. If you feel that our expectations are unreasonable or that it is better for us to move on to another Vet that meets these needs please let us know.
We do insist that the alert labeling Max as a problem be removed from his record and request that he be given the individual recognition that all our furry little babies deserve.
