Seem on the day of our apt the staff must have just gotten some "bad news". Everyone was grim including the vet. I was about 10-15 minutes late for our appt but was met with no smiles or joy. I was made to wait another 35 minutes, (punishment??). I apologized for being late but no one cracked a smile or showed any kind of understanding, especially when the vet said my dog has degenerative myelopathy. The vet handed me a one page description of the disease and said there was nothing that could be done and to euthanize my dog when he got real bad. Yeah!! thanks a lot!!!!
I have schedule my dog with a holistic vet and have read on line that even though there is nothing to stop the disease I can use herbs and other measures, (ie acupuncture, swimming) to slow it down and have a better quality of life for my dog for the time we have together.
This vet has 35+ years experience which is a real asset, but does not recognize the benefits of Holistic vet care as a compliment to regular ve.t care. Too Bad for him. This office does not even do titer testing or know what it is. I will only return if I need a second opinion from an experienced traditional vet based upon medical data
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, took time to answer all of my questions. Nala's first appointment was a wonderful experience, didn't have to wait...was taken to a room where I could sit with her which contributed to our low to no stress - very supportive environment and outstanding service over all. I've already passed my impressions on to other dog owners who struggled, as I had, with less than adequate service elsewhere in town...they will be contacting you in the near future to transfer their dogs care to your office - sooo glad to have found you!!!
We have been going to Third Street Vets for many years, and our experiences have been consistently excellent. Staff is friendly, service is prompt and thorough. Our parrot doesn't enjoy the work on his wings, toenails and beak, and hollers at the doctor the whole time--but Dr. Woods and his assistant are patient, kind, and put up with the noise with smiles. They watch his weight and behavior for any abnormalities--we are very comfortable with the care he receives at Third Street.
