Coco is the loved cat of a 95 year old neighbour on our street. She has an incredible personality, and with age has too begun the aging process. She had been leaking urine in the summer so I had rushed her on a Sunday night to the Willowdale Emergency clinic - who also went above and beyond in trying to help her. It seem to do the trick.
Then December it started again - so this time on a weekday, I was taking our ferret into have her ears done and I called and explained the situation with Coco and was their anyway they could take a look at her, she was clearly in a bad way. They said yes they could fit her in at the same time Molly was scheduled.
By the time I had reached their office within the hour, they had the foresight to get in contact with Willowdale Emerg and were aware of her previous state in the summer. That alone spoke volumes about the care and length Yonge Street Animal Hospital were prepared to do for a non patient and a cat that was clearly in distress.
A complete exam was done on Coco, cross referencing the summer information, they treated her and asked to have her back for a follow up.
Two weeks to the day a reminder call came, I collected her and took her in. She had gained weight and was dry. Another safeguard round of antibiotics were given and she was home within half an hour.
I cannot say enough about the YSAH staff and both Dr.Crozier who supervised Coco and Dr. Belovich who Molly our Ferret adores. I would recommend Yonge Street Animal Hospital in a Heartbeat!
