I have the best stylist - Cheryl, love her! I'm not as pleased with the new salon though. I feel it isn't very physically inviting and the lighting is unnatural and much too bright. The stylist's chairs are much too close together - I can't believe they aren't tripping over one another and it allows for no "privacy" within the stylist's area.

It was my first visit to the new location. I still love my stylist, Jessica - very personable, down to earth, easy going, and listens to my needs/requests, as well as provides recommendations. Generous and welcoming spirit.

I'm not a huge fan of just how bright it is - somehow feels less personal, less comfy/homey. Granted, it was my first visit - I'll give it time.

My only real complaint is with the front desk. The woman who helped me was very matter of fact, direct and impersonal. Normally that doesn't bother me...I can handle a business, professional attitude..i get it. We all work, some days we're more reserved than others...some days we don't have as much energy to give as others. BUT, my experience with her just somehow fell short. She told me I couldn't put my tip on my card (ok, new policy, don't like it, but I can understand), provided very little eye contact and was curt to the point of making me feel like, "Did i say something wrong? Is she waiting for me to leave so she can do something else?" Somehow, scheduling my next appointment become so difficult....I got out my phone to check my calendar (perhaps she perceived me to be texting and got offended?) ...she kept throwing dates and times out without really first taking the time to understand my scheduling limitations....I don't know.. it just fell short. Not sure how to describe it. It wasn't any one thing specifically, but it was in such stark contrast to the nice experience I just had with my stylist. There was a lack of warmth, personal touch, and care.....just left a bad taste in my mouth. It wasn't a great energy. Maybe the conversation she and the other front desk employee were having with a third employee just as I walked up put her in a bad mood or something...or distracted her.

Overall, still love the place, but I'm looking forward to returning for my next visit so I can be reassured of the welcoming vibe I'm accustomed to.

My stylist (Brian) is great! I highly recommend him. He always does a fantastic job and he has such a warm outgoing personality I look forward to seeing him. The counter staff however is a bit prickly, I get the impression that my being there is an inconvenience for them. I also wasn't very impressed with the re-design. Maybe I was just expecting a big change after the salon was closed for so long. The new interior is sleek and modern, but cold and uninviting - reminded me of a hospital. Once you get past the brusque counter staff and the antiseptic decor, the stylists are talented and friendly. One more thing, would you please place a few magazines in the waiting area?
