My colorist was very nice but doesn’t seem to really listen when I explained I wanted my hair lighter for the summer - so she needed to put less of the darker blonde in it, keeping more contrast with the white blonde that naturally occurs in my hair. This I can live with since the dark blonde will fade in a few weeks.
But I had a “back up” young lady shampoo and put on the botanical treatment. I noticed she barely rinsed out the treatment and sure enough, within an hour of leaving the salon, my hair was so oily it looked like it hadn’t been washed in days. This morning (less than 24 hrs later), I shampooed as usual and my hair is so limp it won’t even take a curl (curling iron). I’ve had this treatment done many many times in the past few years so unless Aveda has changed the formula, the “back up” needs more training. Also, shouldn’t she be able to tell if the water is too hot before she puts it on your scalp?
I’ve gone to Aveda salons for over 15 years (in Houston and Fort Worth) and I have to admit that the one here in Fxbg has not lived up to Aveda’s reputation for excellent customer care and service.
