About
Dr. Jacalyn Buettner founded her practice in the 450 Sutter Street medical building in 1989. She loved the hip, Art Deco design and history of the building as well as the convenience of the location for patients working in the financial district. Since then the building has undergone numerous renovations including the recent exterior restoration, which included the installation of brand new windows.
Union Square Chiropractic has grown a great deal since its beginnings, though it has maintained the personalized boutique atmosphere that Dr. Buettner first created. We now offer Massage Therapy and have integrated Rehabilitative Therapy into our practice. Even with these additions, we strive to treat all our patients at their scheduled time as we appreciate the importance of punctuality for our busy clientele.

A little rushed. She didn't have time to pull up my chart ahead of my visit, so didn't get to work on old issues or have much time for questions.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. California law states that after a file is inactive for a certain amount of time, the patient's file must be labeled as inactive and can be moved from the office premise for storage. When we downsized and moved to suite 1415 in Aug of 2017 the inactive files were moved from the office to Dr. Buettner's personal storage. When a patient returns for care we always do a consultation, and reexamination prior to rendering any treatment. We require a minimum of 24 hours advance notice to guarantee your file will be on site at the time for your visit. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused you and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

All phases of my office visit including the exam and diagnosis, the adjustment and exercises given and the front line staff were exceptional. Dr. Buettner is a warm and competent professional with a sense of humor. I would recommend her to anyone needing chiropractor, including my family members.

Dr. Buettner and staff at Union Square Chiropractic are outstanding. I have been a client over eight years. My monthly chiropractic tune ups have helped me to manage life long chronic lower back pain. In my opinion, Dr. Buettner's approach and technique is the best kept secret to good health in the city of San Francisco. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION - a MUST try!!

I can recommend Dr. Buettner as an excellent chiropractor & an excellent communicator. Yesterday was my first appointment with her, & I was pleasantly surprised (especially in these oftentimes uncommunicative times) at her careful & accurate communication.
Her adjustments were effective & painless. Today I feel a real sense of relief.
