Urban Optical is both an Optometry office and an eyeglass boutique. We have been serving Park Slope and Brooklyn since 1995 and offer a large selection of both eyeglasses and sunwear. Dr. Adam Friedland and Dr. Judy Lo are experienced doctors and are dedicated to providing excellence in patient care, clinical education, and optical services. We offer the highest quality lenses, frames and contact lenses to help solve all the vision needs of our patients. Unlike the doctors at many other local optometry offices, Dr. Friedland and his associate are truly dedicated to working on your personal optical needs, ensuring continuity of care for years to come.

The staff here is extremely pleasant, and were very helpful in the frame selection process. I love my new glasses, love the fact that they take my crappy insurance, and had a great experience overall. Plus, it's always nice to support a local business.

Am I the only who enjoys going to see the eye doctor? Perhaps it's because Dr Friedland,
Dr Lo and their staff are funny, caring and personal.
I could not recommend them more. You can walk right in and ask them to tighten your sunglasses and they'll do it with a smile- as they do everything.

Great experience with Urban Optical.
Would recommend Dr. Friedland to both friends and colleagues.
Greeted immediately upon arrival for employment. All of the staff are pleasant and polite.
Did not have to wait to be seen.
Eye exam and recommendations took about 20 minutes, maybe less. Quick, but attentive and efficient.
About 30 minutes from arrival to departure.

Prompt, warm, friendly, and professional, Dr. Friedland and his staff equipped me with stylish reading glasses as a result of my first visit to an optometrist in over 25 years. I appreciated their welcome of my four-year-old, who enjoyed the experience as much as I did.

Always a quick -paced, dynamic visit. I scheduled an appointment and wad seen right on time. Dr. F is full of energy, but does his job well. The hard part -selecting frames -was made easy with the skilled staff, who listened to me and helped me hone in on my ideal frame.
Good followup, worked to get me the best price, and took their time to fit my glasses properly.
