I had stitches put in and was told that there would be no charge to remove them when I returned. When I returned a week later to have the stitches removed, I inquired at the desk about not being charged to have the stitches removed. I was told there would be no charge. I was surprised, to say the least, when I received a bill in the mail for $150.00 to have the stitches removed. I called your billing office and was told, at that time, that I was not charged a copay. You may want to educate your Doctor's and staff that there is a big difference between not being charged for a service and not being charged a copay. Today's high deductible insurance programs leave few of us meeting our copay and have to pay the entire sum, I had less expensive options available to me, but based my decision on the "no charge" statements.
