While I feel our dog received good care, I was unimpressed with the lack of any follow up. We didn’t get to speak to the doctor when we went to pick him up, which I don’t think is appropriate given his injury (which will require follow up). Also didn’t receive a call later in the day to check up on him. Very disappointing
Mark, we sincerely appreciate the time you took to write us a review and to share your experience with other pet owners. We don't always have the doctor go over the discharge instructions with the clients because they are taking care of multiple pets in the hospital at one time, so we have our doctor's assistants go over the discharge instructions with the clients. For Koda's injury of his ligament/tendon we do not do the follow up for these types of injuries, we recommend that you recheck with your family vet to see if he will need further care for the injury or if you would need to be referred to a specialist for his injury. The last part about us not checking up on him later that day, we usually don't do our follow ups with our patients for 3 days after you were seen at our clinic so we can see if the medications are working and to see if you have made an appointment to see your family vet for the follow up care. We enjoyed caring for Koda and we hope that he is continuing to do well at home since his visit with us.
