Our philosophy in the gym is all about core stability, balance and strength. We work with free weights, stability balls, balance pads, and disks to harness the power of the core to bring strength to the whole body. You may be a beginner to exercise, or a seasoned athlete. A personal trainer can help both with individualized training and goal setting. We focus on the whole body, reducing injury and increasing flexibility and strength.
We also incorporate "cognitive" fitness, which is totally unique to Venus. Have you ever heard someone say they are "left brain dominant?" Every muscle is connected to the brain, and there are some exercises that help the various sections of the brain integrate and work as a whole. This is very effective with kids, and with people who consider themselves less coordinated! Cognitive fitness is incorporated and developed by Brain Gym certified instructors.
Personal training can be an expensive endeavor. That's why we offer semi-private training, where you still get the benefits of a trainer, but you can split the cost with a few friends. This is also a great way to create a healthy habit for a group of beginners, a unique bonding experience for a mother and daughter, or a way for female athletes to reduce injury and improve performance.
