The guys at Vertex Auto (Bob & Bob Jr) will give you an honest assessment. Other garages try and talk you into expensive work that's not needed. Vertex only does the work that is needed.
I know from experience. While my car was in for warranty work the dealership called to say that the brakes where shot and had to be replaced for $650 - went to Vertex for a second opinion. Bob at Vertex said they where fine. That was 3 years ago - finally needed to get the brakes worked on last week.
