Verve Chiropractic provides a very pleasing environment, however the enormity of the company leads to a sometimes assembly style experience. Their is a default expectation that you will go through the standard 3 or 4 treatment steps (roller table, extension, muscle stim, adjustment). That being said you just have to be your own voice and speak up about what you need/want. The doctors default to an xray which I don't think is always necessary. A solid physical exam could be sufficient. I have found a doctor I like there, but I find they are often rushed and don't take the time to check their work after an adjustment. I have had to ask them to do another spot several times because it wasn't quite right. Billing is also a chronic issue, I've been overchared several times, normally because of the assembly line default of the computer to charge for the default regiment of services. I was over paying, and they didn't notify me. I had to bring up the need for a credit myself. Once I did however they have been very appologetic and corrected the issue. I like that I can call at any time and get in normally.
I apologize for you feeling like you're on an assembly line. We pride ourselves on not giving you 1 minute of our time at Verve, which is why it seems long sometimes. We never want our patients rushed through the clinic. As for x-ray; x-ray is the gold standard at graduate school in uncovering many pathologies. We've found several cancers over 15 years on x-ray that if we hadn't have taken, the patient would have had a far less favorable outcome.
We appreciate you taking the time in posting a review. We will try harder at not making you, or any other patient feel like they're on an assembly line. Yours in health, Dr. Warkentin
