I am a somewhat new patient here. The hygienist was friendly and seemed to do a thorough job. However, the dentist, while pleasant, only spent a quick two minutes, barely checking my teeth. (By the way, the office was NOT busy, in fact I may have been the only patient there at the time). I assume everything was OK because nothing was mentioned except he said that he would "like to put a crown on tooth number X." No mirror was provided so I could see what he was talking about nor did I know which tooth he was referring to. No options were mentioned nor was there any indication whether this was needed to be done soon or if it could wait. An itemized list was then provided showing what my cost would be. My previous dentist at another practice, now retired, would always explain things and mention any possible options, so this was a disappointment. To some dentists hundreds of dollars might be small potatoes, but to us who make an average wage it is a lot of money.
