This was absolutely the worst dental experience I have ever had. The dentist spent more time worrying about and attempting to understand my non-dental medical history (which is fully under control through my primary care physician) than he did looking at or worrying about my teeth. He also said that he "wasn't qualified to make this diagnosis" so he "wasn't going to check the box" that said I was obese, and then told me to "not take that the wrong way" because he was overweight too. (All this despite the fact that he knew neither my height nor my weight.) He recommended that I pay $300 for a sleep study despite the fact that the sheet HE GAVE ME indicated that I was an extremely low risk for sleep apnea, and I came in with no complaints that would lead him to think that it was something that even needed to be thought about. Additionally, he suggested that my (somewhat complex) medical history was a result of my psychological diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive disorder. The appointment, despite the fact that my teeth were absolutely fine and all I needed was a cleaning, took over an hour because of these extraneous, unnecessary and unfounded "concerns" on the part of the dentist. Although the staff (dental hygienist, receptionist, etc.) were very nice, the dentist himself was completely out of line, making suggestions and conjectures that had absolutely nothing to do with dentistry and no basis in fact. I will NEVER be returning to this practice.
