Mitchell's Salon & Day Spa - West Chester

Rating three(3) stars is tough because I would've really liked to have given the entire experience five(5) stars. We went in last Saturday 22nd for our massages, one a bamboo the other a hot stone. The experience up until the massage was great, booking, arriving, greeting. My partner had the bamboo massage and had great things to say about it, totally loved it beginning to end. Me on the other hand, how disappointing. I've had several hot stone massages and this was not one, not quite sure what the problem was but... maybe she was having a bad day, maybe she was looking at what the other masseuse was doing, maybe she was tired, it was 9:30 a.m.!

What I do know is that on several occasions she paused, one hand resting still on me. There was also no communication from her during the times she was massaging, the only communication was to turn over on my stomach. On my previous massages at Mitchell's and other spas, the masseuse would put hot stones down the middle of my back, that was not done, place stones in the palm of my hands (only one stone was placed below my right hand, nothing was done with the left) they would also place stones between my toes, that was not done yesterday, place stones along the length of my arm, that was not done, place stones on my stomach, that was not done. I even had a masseuse place a warm stone on my forehead, which was a great feeling.

What I did get yesterday was slathered in massage lotion. I've never had to shower after a massage, but yesterday I went directly home and did.

I'm terrible disappointed. I was looking forward to a great beginning to my day. Guess I'll have to book another massage at a different spa to really get what I need, and what was supposed to be done.

Always feel like a million bucks when I leave here no matter what service I've had.

Sharral is great. Professional. I travel from Aurora IN to have her cut my hair, since Northgate closed. Tricounty would have been easier. But service is good and she is a great Stylist Designer.

So I came in to get my nails done on Friday May 26th. So my husband and I were leaving for a trip the next day and I wanted to have my nails done for the trip as since I had a gift card. So the website and the little book that comes with the gift card says that the Artificial nails full set are $72.00. so I sit down and the girl doing my nails explain that there are two ways to do the nails, I can do a full fake nail or the tips of my nails which she said lasts longer and I can do a powder or a Polish. She said the powder lasts longer, not once did she say if it would cost more or not. So I go with her suggestion, we finish and I go up front to pay. The lady up front rings it in, and she says it is $115. I was not happy because the website and the little book that comes with the gift card said that it cost $72.00 not $115, but they did do a service so I felt like I had to pay it. So I use my gift card for $50.00 then I pay the rest which is 70.00. so for future notice, if your girls suggest something to a customer then they need to tell them how much extra it is. That was dishonest, if I had known that this special way of doing the nails would have cost so much extra I would not have done it. So I will never be coming to your establishment again and I will not refer anyone to your establishment again either

Excellent! Reagan is very welcoming and approachable. A truly genuine woman. Our conversations flowed easily. And the manicure was incredible. She is detailed, gentle and thorough in her work. I'll be back to see her every time

Want great hair? Go see Leighton. I went in and when she asked what I wanted, I said, "I'm not sure. Right now it's messy, and not in a good way. It's also just... dull." She gave me great hair. Tons of compliments at work today.

Leighton cut my hair and she did an excellent job. I have curly hair and it's extremely difficult to find someone that actually knows how to work with curly hair. Leighton listened to me as well as made some great recommendations. I got the best hair cut of my life. I finally have a hair dresser that I will return to. Thanks Leighton!

i recently went to the salon with a feeling of excitement and hoping for a great experience. Unfortunately it did not happen. Never dreamed that I would pay such a outlandish price for what I received. To start with receptionist over the phone asked few questions. Told her usually I have tri color. Told her no cut. She asked if I wanted my hair dried . She said I could go home with it wet or sit under the dryer. I chose to just being placed under dryer. I was quoted a price and told I would have a free consultation with stylist. She asked me about my hair. Told her it was faded and had let it go a little longer than I should. Said I like blonde, face framing with definition. I thought she understood as I flipped through a few pictures. She put color and sat me down with few magazines. I asked if she needed to put me under dryer as I normally have to do. She said no that it was warm enough in the salon. She checked it and said it was fine . Rinsed it out. By then it was getting late into the evening . Stylist said it needed thinned in a couple areas. I told her just a little. She then blew it dry and proceeded to use the curling iron. Not thinking a blow dry and curl was extra and stylist did not remind me of it. I sat there until she was done. I wasn't pleased at all with my color. I was tired and didn't really know what to say. I thanked her. Yes I know I should have said something to the stylist. However, I'm not a confrontational person . I just wanted to leave . Upon paying the cashier said the stylist made a price adjustment for her services . Charges added was a extra Fifty dollars onto what I was originally quoted. I couldn't gather my thoughts as I was in shock. I quickly paid and drove home in tears. Even my family and friends had nothing good to say about my hair.
