I have been taking my cats to West Palm Animal Clinic for over eight years. My first experience was taking a very sick cat to Dr. Durkee for a second opinion. Bella had been diagnosed with pancreatitis, asthma, diabetes, and would not eat. Over the years I took her to Emergency Vets several times and she would get better for a while. Finally, Bella and I could take no more. She would not allow me to force feed her and she was just going downhill rapidly. After examining Bella and all her medical records, Dr. Durkee and Ashleigh helped me to make that most difficult decision. After it was done, they let me cry and hugged me. Since then, I have continued to take all my cats here and Dr. Durkee and her staff have remained just as kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. My most recent experience was bringing in a colony cat named Opie who was experiencing difficulty in urinating. I had taken him to two Emergency Vets with mixed results and not a lot of helpful advice. When I obtained an appointment for him at West Palm Animal Clinic, Dr. Durkee and Christine listened to me carefully and did testing that resulted in a definite diagnosis. They also took the time to give me tips on how to get Opie to take his pills, no easy feat.:) I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Durkee and her wonderful staff.
