Westwood Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital. We offer medical care, surgery (including laser surgery), general dentistry, digital radiology, vaccinations, on site lab testing, nutritional counseling, weight control programs, grooming, boarding, obedience classes, and behavior consultations.
We work with two national laboratories and veterinary specialists including orthopedic surgeons, internists, ophthalmologists, dentists and dermatologists in the Kansas City metro area to ensure that our patients receive the care they need for exceptional problems.
For your convenience, we carry Science Diet food for dogs and cats, and various prescription diets as well. We offer a variety of retail pet products including collars, leashes, treats, supplements, and toys.

Dr. Martin is the absolute best. She speaks "German Shepherd" and both of ours love her. She is thorough, reasonable, and everything you want for your pets primary care provider. If you are looking for a vet for your pets, look no further!

Dr. Weiss is always super helpful and treats our pup really well. She is pretty anxious and doesn't like going to the vet, but the entire staff at Westwood always very understanding and sweet with her.

I have been a regular for years, but had not been in since the pandemic. I was excited to be back but very disappointed to not have a positive experience. I came in for a gel fill and the nail tech wanted to do a new set. I was not in a position to pay for removal plus a née set so I asked her to please fill and I would come prepared for a new set next time. She was very clear about her disapproval and very unfriendly. She did a good job with the fill but it was not a friendly or welcoming experience.Read More …
