We have been taking our dog to Whiskers since she was 13 weeks old, and I have never been 100% satisfied. There doesn't seem to be a lot of attention to detail & there are often stray hairs, goop still in her eyes, and her tail is never trimmed. I always chalked it up to her being a puppy and more difficult, though they have never said anything about her being naughty. Each time I requested an appointment via the website, I reviewed the services and pricing - to see if what she needed was a full grooming, or if maybe a mini-groom would suffice. Yesterday was her 4th grooming (3 regular groomings and 1 mini groom). When I requested the appointment on Monday, the website was functioning as usual and all the information & pricing was the same. When I picked her up from being groomed on Saturday, the price had jumped up by $10, and then they accidentally charged my card an additional $5 on top of that. When I got home to check the website on services and pricing - all of the information had been removed. I've continued to bring our dog to Whiskers because it was convenient, y'all did a good enough job, and given that our dog is a puppy - we figured we didn't have enough experience to know whether or not it was "good" service or not. But after yesterdays experience of the price jumping more than 20%, my card being incorrectly charged and only a slight "oops" when it was brought to their attention, and my dog still looking kind of funny with no tail trim (when I specifically mentioned it again when I dropped her off) - I think we're going to look elsewhere. I do understand that prices increase from time to time & I'm not saying that the new pricing is unfair or too much. But, it would have fostered a lot of goodwill had the front desk attendant said, when we dropped her off, something like "just want to make sure you're aware that our prices have increased since the last time you visited us". I also don't like that there is now no information on pricing or details on services on their website. It just seems a little shady & underhanded. The attendants seem perfectly nice & I've never worried that my dog was treated poorly. Just don't think this is the right fit for us anymore.
