Love Wisteria and Brook. Not only is she a joy to talk with, but her hair service is always consistent.

I gave feedback on my recent experience at your Augusta Rd. salon through a private email to your salon, but I was disappointed that I did not receive any response whatsoever. Therefore I decided to respond to the generic email that you sent requesting feedback. I really had a very bad experience getting my hair cut at your salon last week, in spit of the fact that many people apparently canceled their Saturday appointments due to weather, so the stylist was not in any way rushed or pressured. I recently needed to find a new salon after my previous stylist moved some distance away. So, last April (I think - right before Easter, so could have been March) I made my first appointment at your August Rd. location. I saw a stylist, Melissa, and was really pleased with my haircut. I think she cut about 7 inches or so off of my hair. So it was pretty drastic. She was one of your “blooming” stylists, if I remember correctly. I have two little toddlers, so time got away from me, and I was woefully overdue for another cut. So, I recently made another appointment. I couldn't see Melissa again because she is no longer with you. So, I was assigned another stylist. However, I am so disappointed, both with my haircut, and with the amount of money that I paid for such a disappointing cut. The stylist was very friendly - and she seemed to listen to and understand what I was looking for. That is why it was so disappointing to me that she did such a poor job. When I sat down with her, I told her that I wanted my hair cut to about jaw length, but that I really wanted the front pieces around my face longer so that I could easily tuck it behind my ears - (I thought that was communicating that I wanted it angled toward my chin, but apparently not). She said she totally understood that. I also told her that I needed layers and that I didn’t even mind some stacking in the back, because I really wanted to avoid a “mushroom” look - flat on the top and “poofing” at the bottom of the bob. I know she understood that, because at the end of the cut I told her that I had concerns about the side toward the back, and she actually responded something about the fact that she didn’t want me to be worried about a mushroom effect - she actually used the same term that I had used. So, I know she was listening. But, the end product is very disappointing. She went back after I expressed some concern and said she would cut a few more layers into the side, but I think at that point it was probably too late - I know she was concerned about getting it too short. My complaint is not at all about it being too short - the overall length is fine. But, I do not have longer pieces in the front to tuck behind - it is all just basically the same length, with a few layers cut into it. I have a definite mushroom effect all the way around, in spite of the layers that she did cut. Frankly I have not had such a bad cut in probably 12 years. If I had gone to a cheap salon, I'd be castigating myself for such a bad choice - and I would know it was my own fault. However, I’m really unhappy that I paid $50 plus tip for absolute disappointment. In my college days I had some bad hair cuts, and I definitely learned that it was worth it to go somewhere nicer and to someone who I could trust - especially with a short hair style. I have never given negative feedback on a hair cut before, but like I said, I was so sad to pay almost $60 for a haircut that was exactly what I requested not to happen. It is interesting to me that this was a more expensive stylist than last spring - and yet the hair cut was so much worse. I certainly have no plans to return to your salon. And, I’m sad that I'll probably have to wait a month or so before my hair has grown out enough to go somewhere and have it cleaned up, since I don't want to go even shorter to get the angled front effect. I surely wish it was possible to get a refund on such a disappointing experience. I thought about writing to you the same day as my cut, but I was hoping that somehow when I woke up the next day and washed my hair and styled it myself that I could get a different result, but sadly not. I did feel like for the money I spent, that I should share my experience with you. And, while I'm the first to usually shrug and say that hair grows, you know that hair is very personal, and I was afraid that if I called and tried to explain this on the phone that I'd just start crying, and you don't need to deal with that

Brooke is the best. She's kind and knows how to cut my hair perfectly.

Brooke took extra time to show me how to recreate the style she provided, and she even was willing to add onto the day's services a little highlighting at my request. I traveled all the way from Miami to keep Brooke as my stylist, and she exceeded my expectations at this visit!
