I was hesitant to write this review, but I feel it's important to share my feedback and my experience. Like many, I came to Washington based on Yelp reviews. Prior to my visit, I had a conversation with the office lady about Invisalign pricing and she gave me two quotes, 1 for a lighter case and 1 for a more full treatment and that my assessment would be no commitment.
From the start, my dental tech struggled with x-rays as she accidentally shut down the system and had to repeat which took another 15 mins. After that, I saw Dr. Khandani and she explained the in's and out's of invisalign to me but quoted me a totally different price. After some debate and checking, they agreed to honor the price i was given but implied it was my fault. To proceed, they would require a $250 fee which I was also unaware of prior to my visit despite several questions I asked. Given that I have pretty good ortho coverage, I was fine with proceeding, but to confirm I specifically asked the dr. and office team that the $250 would be applied to my coverage. They confirmed that this would absolutely be the case, and it would be applicable to the total insurance allowance even though I would be responsible for paying it today. They would do the mappings and get back to me about the Invisalign plan.
After, this, the dental tech came back in to do the invisalign mappings and could not finish the job. She was pretty rough with the tool and the system was not reading her movements so she constantly had to repeat areas. I'm not sure if she was in training because someone kept coming in to check on her. This other person apologized and took over the rest of the procedure as they could see it was starting to be an unpleasant experience.
After completing the "assessment" I was escorted to the front desk by Dr. Khandani where they handed me an invoice which clearly was different than the $250 being under the insurance allowance. The front desk team got in a lengthy debate with me about how I was already wrong earlier and at one point I was even told "we put your information in the computer and the computer is usually right about the coverage" My card was charged regardless of anything I had to say.
In my 30 years of going to the dentist, I have never had a more frustrating and misleading experience. I asked very specific questions, to avoid such a situation. For a team that prides themselves on their invisalign service, I saw nothing but inexperience and poor patient treatment Today, I still have little idea of what my $250 covered and I have not been provided any of the things the dentist promised that was under this bill.
