I've waited a week to post this as I was so angry, I was afraid my review would be full of profanities. I was referred to Wycliff as a low cost alternative by the humane society when they had to cancel my dog's spay due to a staffing shortage. When I called to get information, I told the secretary my dog was 8 months old and 100 pounds. She took my information and said I would be sent an estimate, which I received the next day. The estimate was for $220 for a 60+ pound spay. I scheduled the appointment and kept my dog inside without food or water the night before. I drove an hour to the clinic on the day of the spay. Upon arriving back home, (another hours drive), I received a call telling me the estimate was not correct, as my dog was 100 lbs. The price just doubled and I was asked if I still wanted to have the spay completed. Considering I would have 4 hours of travel time in addition to having to wait while I rescheduled an appointment with another vet, I decided to go ahead and have the spay completed. When I picked my dog up and paid the outrageous fee, I asked for the chip number for which I had signed consent to be inserted while under anesthesia. Apparently, this was overlooked and not done. No interaction with the vet, (him? her?), at all before or after the surgery. No apologies or attempts to rectify the situation. Worst clinic ever.
