I too am sorry to burst the bubble of the regulars that come here..if you are stranded and have no alternative you are going to pay. My daughter and I were traveling to Sc. The belt broke and my daughter immediately got off the road and turned the car off. Just because she is a female doesn't mean she doesn't know her car. We got towed to Xpress Tire & Auto. After 6 hrs of waiting we were hit with a bill of $771.00, parts were double in price and they would not work on the car if we bought them elsewhere, they stated the car overheated it did not,the labor was nearly half of the bill..I saw the parts get delivered and they were installed within half an hour...also there is a fee of $89.00 just for them to look at the car before working on it.While waiting I observed 4 other breakdowns come in and got the same treatment..one fellow was told he needed a new battery,$128.00,he told them he had just put a new one in from Walmart and he was told that Walmart's parts were cheap. He refused to do this and told them to jump-start the car and he left. What I saw while I was there was unbelievable. If you are stranded in Ladysmith DO NOT go to this place, if you want to get on the road again you will pay dearly to do so!
