Okay, you guys are usually great, but I came in because my brakes sounded bad and you fixed a guard that was scraping then told me that my brakes were fine. The green box on my sheet was checked, so I assumed that you actually checked them.

When you said my battery wasn't great and my transmission fluid was dirty, and said it would be around a hundred for each fix, I asked again if my brakes were okay, because I couldn't afford to do the battery and trans fluid if I also had to replace brake pads and rotors. You said my brakes were fine, so I spent the extra money. Within a few days I noticed that the brake grinding sound was still there, though quieter without the guard piece scraping, and I had to take more time off work to come back and spend more money that I don't have.

Next time, if I ask you to check my brakes. Do it. Don't assume you fixed the problem by fixing something else. I would have been happier if you'd given me the brake inspection for free when I had to come back, and Fred said he shaved as much off my bill as he could, but it was almost as much as I had spent the week before for a battery that could have waited until next winter, and a trans fluid replacement that would have been cheaper at the Quick Lube.

It sucks that my credit card is now maxed out, and I will probably look for someone else to do any further maintenance. That said, my car is running very well for now, thank you.
