Great care; offered to fit me in--and did--to take care of a chipped tooth before I left town; explained things rather than simply doing them; provided very useful information about issues related to dental health; understood and was compassionate about my likely irrational fear of needles. Staff is also exceptionally friendly and thoughtful.
This is not new behavior either. Several years ago, for complicated reasons, my son needed to have sent to his doctor in Berkeley information about fillings. In a panic, I phoned Dr. Ambis' home, on a Sunday, and he faxed the relevant information that same day.
I have heard from friends that he is more expensive than most.
However, the old adage that you get what you pay for is actually true.
