I'm 15 weeks pregnant and went to my first prenatal yoga class this week. It was everything I hoped it would be. I enjoyed that at the beginning of the class, Amy, the instructor, had us all introduce ourselves and open up about something personal; this week, it was to say something that we were letting go of to make room for something else in our lives.
My only complaint might be that the room got a little warm for my comfort, though I've been running like a furnace since becoming pregnant.
The asanas were perfect for a growing belly and a body of loosening ligaments. I will be going back to gain more core strength, to increase my flexibility and improve my balance--literally and figuratively.
