The entire staff places a very high priority on patient well being. In my experience I have found the doctors to be very competent. They carefully explain what they are doing and they show a very high level of concern for my comfort.

Out of all the visits I have had with this dental clinic, I think this one was a little disappointing. Nothing big, but several little things that did not go well.

1. I drove from work (La Jolla) for almost an hour in traffic to get there on time. I was not in the mood to hold a chatting conversation. The hygienist sensed that, and still continued to ask me questions. In certain situations, less is better.

2. She told me I needed comprehensive x-rays, (Not sure what the proper name is) until I questioned if this is something my insurance covers. She checked, and told me insurance only covers portion of it. I declined. I need this info prior to you even attempting to take the x-rays. I should not have to ask you for that info.

3. Comparing my previous cleanings, this one was not as vigorous or as long. But prior to starting the cleaning process, Dr. Bell came in and told me that I have excess of stain and plaque buildup. So in my mind the cleaning should have been more thorough.

4. My lips were very dry during the cleaning (as they always are), and by touching them with dry latex gloves and dry metal instruments, you create a situation where the lips stick to them. Several times i felt like portions of the skin were going to come off. This is not an isolated incident, it has happened before with other hygienists. I think you should implement a procedure where the gloves and instruments should be moist with either water or saline, so that situations like this do not happen.

5. Final minor matter, learn how to pronounce a patient's name.

I saw Dr. Bell for the first time due to a chipped tooth. I did not have a regular dentist and I had read positive reviews on Dr.Bell and his office staff.

I was a new patient and they worked me in quickly.

Dr. Bell was gentle and caring and his staff were kind and helpful.

This was my first visit to Skinsational. Scheryl was fantastic. I have had pedicures for over 15 years and Scheryl was the absolute best ever. I am s diabetic and have had cancer surgery with some of my lymph nodes removed. I am healthy now, but have a compromised immune system. I also have allergies to polysorbates (which are banned in Europe). Scheryl took the time to go over every ingredient that she would use during my pedicure. I have been involved in herbs for over 30 years and all the products had excellent herbal ingredients that were safe and felt great. I was very impressed with Scheryl's kindness, her professional manner and the excellent work she did. I have a very low pain tolerance and I did not feel anything. She did a fabulous job on my French Pedicure. I will be coming in on a monthly basis to have Scheryl take care of my nail treatments. I own my company and when I experience excellent employees in any type of business I let the owner know what amazing employees they have. Scheryl makes your company shine and will increase your market share. You may think about giving her a raise, that is what I usually recommend when I find outstanding people. Outstanding service !!!
