There was a dentist filling in for Dr. Wallace. She was nice, but talked fast and seemed frazzled. Things seemed a little chaotic and the appointment took longer than expected. My child was due for x-rays, but I didn’t find that out until the very end of the appointment. We had spent over a half hour just waiting for the exam and the x-rays could easily have been done in that time. I was under a time constraint, but also felt the hygienist was incorrect in telling me that there was no harm in waiting for the next cleaning to do them. She told me that they hadn’t seen anything on the exam, so it wasn’t necessary to do the x-rays. Just a short time before that, they had found a watch area on my other child via x-ray that wasn’t visible on the exam. I feel that advice was not in my child’s best interest.
I have always had a good experience with Dr. Wallace and her staff, so I wouldn’t want to give a low star rating because it’s not indicative of how I usually feel, but this time around was definitely different, as was the staff.
