I began seeing Dr. McGuire at Northglenn as a youth, then when I married and moved to Arvada saw him there and now am still happy with the Dr.'s and staff in Arvada. I have always had private health insurance and worked but after several auto accidents that have lead to other health issues I have had to either reduce my work, or stop work for periods (and am no longer married with anyone supporting me). I have had Medicaid for the past three years due to a change in health, and appreciate that you are accepting Medicaid because it allows me to still be seen by a qualified Doctor and technicians. Since using Medicaid I sense a difference in the way I am treated by the front desk/persons helping me pick glasses calculate etc. I feel as if I may be looked at differently because I am a Medicaid recipient, as if maybe I am now less respected? It may not be the case, but reminding all staff to remain compassionate to all regardless of what type of insurance they have to use, or how much money they make might be something to consider. I appreciate the work they do though, and will always refer to this office.
