Avalon Salon first opened its doors to Dallas patrons February 22, 1990 in Snider Plaza, a Highland Park retail center adjacent to the SMU law school. This Aveda Concept Salon was co-founded by business partners and close friends, Ric Bowden and Lawrence Bonanno. To create the Avalon culture, they cultivated an atmosphere based on job security by establishing multiple educational programs, opportunities for advancement, and a "people first" environment. To this day, these are still the core values that drive our thriving business.

My family used to live in the McKinney area and really enjoyed Dr. Simmons and his staff. In 2012, we relocated to Ft Worth, which is about 50 miles from their office. We still make the long drive for dental work without a second thought. Dr. Simmons has a great chair-side manner and puts you at ease immediately. Your comfort is very important to them and for those (like myself) that didn't do too well early on in life taking care of their teeth, you won't feel embarrassed talking about it with the staff at Dr. Simmons's office.
