I have only heard great things about Avason Family Dentistry, however, I must say that I was very dissatisfied with my latest experience. I went to the dentist for a cleaning on Thursday at 8:50. My cleaning was great and I really had a good experience, My uncle recently went to the dentist and agreed to do the white for life, and encouraged me to do it as well. I was excited to agree to something that sounded like such a good idea. However, I have had nothing but dissatisfaction with the service I have had dealing with white for life. They told me my trays would be ready on Friday, so I excitedly waited for a phone call. However, they called me on Friday at 12:57 and informed me that my impressions were not going to work and that I would need to make a new appointment and come back to have new impressions made,,, and oh by the way we close at 1 today. So then I had to call back on Monday to make a new appointment. I had to go back on Thursday to make new impressions. They apologized for making me come back and have to make new impressions and told me they would call me when they were ready to be picked up and it could be the next day. However, I never received a phone call from them. So on Monday I decided to call them and was informed that they were ready to be picked up. When asked why no one had called to inform me they were ready to be picked up, no one had an answer. So I went to pick them up later on Monday and they just handed me a bag and told me the instructions were inside. I tried my trays on while in the car to make sure they fit, because I did not want to have to make yet another trip to have the trays corrected if they didn't fit. After trying the trays on, they did not fit. I had to go back to the dentist and they had to make new trays for me. I simply believe they were not considered with the service they provided because they already received their $100.
We are very sorry you feel your experience wasn?t a great one. Our hygienists make the Whitening for Life trays in house as a courtesy to our patients, but they also see patients throughout the day. We usually have the trays ready for our patients to pick up within a day or two but sometimes problems can arise like with your case. While the hygienist was making the trays there was a problem with the impression material and we called immediately to get you back in for a new impression. Unfortunately we are only open half days on Friday as most dental office is closed. The trays were in the process of being completed when we received a call and this was explained over the phone. We call our patients when trays are completely finished. Explained that trays were not ready but would be by the time the patient got here for pick up. Our WFL packets have everything a patient would need for use; it includes trays, bleach, and step by step instructions as to how to use. We offer to answer any and all questions concerning our WFL program. Our patient?s happiness is our top concern. Please call us with any further concerns. Thank you!
