I felt like my stylist wasn’t listening when I told her I only wanted a little hair off my length. She cut a lot off and I even said something again before and while she was cutting. The. I was uneven - very obviously and I had to point that out. When she tried to even it she started blaming the last person who cut my hair last (which had nothing to do with it being uneven). Finally, I just didn’t say anything else because I didn’t want her chopping more of my hair off. And that’s what the ends look like, like they were chopped off instead of cut with any sort of training. I have been coming there for years and this was my worst experience yet. The educator didn’t really look at my hair either just asked me if it was OK and sign off. I have had educators check my haircut and look at my color, but she never even came by during the 6+ hours I was in that chair, the girls all sitting around and talking, the whole time seemed very undisciplined, and there was one time when I saw the educator try to get them to do something else and they clearly disrespected her. One girl treated the exact same thing she was being asked not to do right when they educator turned around. it was just a bad experience all around and I’m so unhappy with my hair.cut.

I am very disappointed. I did not receive what I asked for and I was very upset and cried the whole night. I am angry that I had to pay $100 for a service that didn’t accomplish ANYTHING near what I asked for. I am extremely upset about this outcome. Not only that but the hair stylists that were working on my hair were arguing the entire time making the 6 hour appointment EXTREMELY miserable and it was a waste of time and money.

I did the 20.23 facials jan Feb and March and they were absolutely fantastic. I’ve noticed my pores in my t zone were enlarged and have seen a noticeable difference since!

I was always a huge promoter of the Aveda Institute.

The last two visits were disappointing from the front desk perspective. The check in process feels chaotic and indifferent. The lack of tipping envelopes is a declaration that the management is not promoting a positive experience for the student. This causes customers to tip on the card- which doesn’t compare to the warm exchange and some tangible pocket change for their hard work.

In addition, , the cover up garments have become ragged. While I recognize this is a training school, the condition was poor.

The service was nice. My student was professional and skilled.

I do not like to complain. I just think it’s obvious that the front lobby exudes a negative aura , the awkward process to tip, the ragged garments are not the standard that Aveda established years ago.

Getting a master student is worth every penny! Even though they are about to graduate they have been taught how to treat and handle every personality and what the client requires. I'm very grateful to have the services available in Jacksonville.

My hair was cut way too short! The girl forgot to put in layers so when I reminded her, it only made it shorter.
