About
Dr. Martin grew up in Cumberland County and after graduating from chiropractic college decided to return here to open her practice. She opened Back to Chiropractic Center in 1997 and the office has continued to grow every year. Dr. Martin, while being knowledgeable in her field, will take time to explain everything to you in plain language which is easy to understand. We are never too busy to answer any questions you may have.
Dr. Martin, being a woman, can provide a level of comfort and security to her female patients that may be difficult to attain with a male chiropractor, especially due to the hands on nature of chiropractic treatment. Being one of the few female chiropractors in our community, Dr. Martin is uniquely equipped to respond to the special needs of women. We run a friendly, family oriented practice and will assist you in any way we can. We treat people of all ages, including children. The center is fully equipped with three adjusting rooms which feature three different types of chiropractic tables.

I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your visit to our office. In regards to the paperwork, it is not on EVERY visit. As is necessary, there is needed paperwork on your first visit to document your history and get your insurance information. On your second visit, the additional paperwork was specific to YOUR insurance. It is a requirement for your insurance, not for everyone's. I realize that it may seem like a lot, but unfortunately it is required in the beginning, but not on following visits. I wish it wasn't required by your insurance but they began making it mandatory in 2013. In regards to your comment about "no hands on adjustment", there are many chiropractic techniques available in our office. We did use a hands on adjustment for your neck and used different techniques for other areas of your spine that are very successful. However, all you have to do is communicate your expectations/wishes to me and we can use another technique. So, again I am sorry you were not satisfied but would have like to be able to discuss your concerns when you were there if you had only told me at the time. Sincerely, Dr. Yvonna Martin

Your body is a complex machine. Of course spinal adjustments are an important part of what we do but we also find that stress can cause hormone imbalance affecting your health. Toxicity in the environment can also cause problems with health so we find it important to address all three areas. Thanks for your comment!
